Dr. Lukas, ST, MAI

Lukas was born in Purwokerto (Central Java), Indonesia, on 6th July 1973. He grewn up in Java and Bali, pursuing his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Computer Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia (1991-1995). He immediately joined as faculty staff of Engineering Faculty of Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya (Unika Atma Jaya), Jakarta, Indonesia. In 1997, he continued his study, taking Master in Artificial Intelligence program at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium. Completing his master degree in the following year, he started his doctoral degree at the Electrical Engineering Dept of KU Leuven (ESAT) in the Signals, Identification, System Theory and Automation (SISTA) research group and finished his PhD study in 2003.

Back to Jakarta, he teaches Computer System Architecture, Microprocessor System, and Artificial Intelligence. Together with Prof. Adang Suwandi Ahmand (ITB) he founded Cognitive Engineering Research Group (CERG) in Unika Atma Jaya. In July 2004, he was appointed by the rector as IT project manager, responsible in planning, monitoring and evaluating IT system enhancement in the Unika Atma Jaya.

He is married to Tanti Johana, an architect. Their wedding was celebrated on the 25th August 2002 in Catholic Church of Tuka, Bali.

His main interests are : artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, natural language processing, microprocessor systems.
